Located in the heart of downtown Zelienople, along Main Street, Shu Brew envisioned offering the first rooftop dining patio in town. Entasis gladly accepted this exciting project and worked through the design and code requirements for safety and efficiency.

A unique challenge was to keep the current roof design and add no additional weight, so we designed the patio structure to be fully supported by the existing masonry load bearing walls. This was achieved through ingenuity using steel beams and pressure-treated framing.

A decorative metal pan stair and railing was designed to access the roof patio without modifying the existing roof joists. We minimized the impact on the main floor dining to create a fun and inviting rooftop dining experience for guests. This also has become a go-to dining spot for town events with great visibility to Main Street.
